Maltz Jupiter Theater Fundraiser brings over $10,000

Suncoast High School Foundation’s February 20th, evening at the Maltz Jupiter Theater’s Beehive show was a high energy success. Almost 150 tickets were sold, with patrons underwriting 15 faculty tickets. The audience was singing, dancing to music which included lots of golden oldies, from Sandra Dee to Connie Francis, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, and the Supremes.

“This event had something for everyone,” event chair Rubye Mate said. “Beehive songs brought back memories, if you were 80 or 18, years old, grew up in Holland, India or South America, everyone knew these songs.” This is like Suncoast Mrs. Mate observed. “A school with a diverse body of students, who gather to learn. I am so pleased that the community joined together to raise money to support this special school.”
